Fit Notes
There are two types of Fit notes that are available to you.

RUH Fit Note
After you have left the Royal United Hospital (RUH) or been seen in outpatients you may need further support.
For example, the hospital teams at the RUH (rather than your GP) should provide you with a FIT note, where needed.
If you're unwell and cannot work, you may need a fit note (sometimes called a sick note) for your employer.
If you did not receive a Fit note after your hospital visit or for other queries we encourage you to contact the department whose care you are or were under.

GP Fit note
If you’ve been off work sick for several days, then you may need to show your employer a fit note (also known as an NHS sick note) from your GP to confirm that you’ve been ill and that you’re able to return to work. You can request a GP fit note using our online system.
