Step 2
Pre-requisites
Be aged 13 or over.
Be registered with us and have online access and have the information from Step 1.
Setup Guide
Download the App:
Search for "NHS App" in your app store and install it.
Open and Register:
Open the app, select "Get started", and choose to set up an NHS login.
Email & Password:
Enter your email address and create a strong password.
Confirm Email:
Check your email for a security code and enter it into the app.
Mobile Number:
Enter your mobile phone number. A 6-digit security code will be sent via text.
Verify Identity:
To get full access to your records, you must prove who you are.
Method A (not recommended as can take up to 2-3 days): Take a photo of your photo ID and complete a quick, automated face scan using your phone's camera.
Please select at the bottom the option How to prove who you are without sending a photo of your I.D.
Method B (Recommended): Please use the online codes from your GP surgery requested in Step 1.
Match with Records:
The app will ask for your name, date of birth, and postcode to match you with your NHS record
